The Job

The Account Supervisor, Studio Manager is a dedicated role embedded with one of the agency’s largest clients, leading the account through studio and account management work. This work is focused on overseeing the health and statuses of creative work streams from brief through final delivery as well as developing and maintaining key client relationships. 


We are looking for a self-sufficient worker who embraces challenges and remains composed, assured and effective under pressure. This role will be multifaceted, and successful candidates are able to maintain client-facing prowess while balancing strategic thinking and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.


In this partnership, Thesis works to provide customized partner solutions focusing on all things marketing: .com, apps, performance marketing, content creation, paid media, and email.


This role provides operational and studio support to the creative team and ensures that strategy, processes, and initiatives align with overarching client and team objectives. This role also focuses on supporting the production process for content within all creative platforms, inclusive of mainly digital platforms. You should care intensely about your work without conflating work ego with personal ego. While you’ll be working closely with clients, our agency’s integrated teams collaborate equally and share accountability, in failure and success alike.

As a worker, you will:

  • Act as Studio Manager overseeing the success of digital-focused work-streams from brief through go-live by way of stellar work and client relationships. 
  • Supervise a team dedicated to Studio Management and Production as part of the Account team and embedded team
  • Play a supporting role in the process from creative brief to digital authoring, working closely with all creative contributors within your studio, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope and on brief.
  • Be a staff and client go-to for conflict resolution, process improvements, and political challenges to keep pushing the work and partnership forward.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, reliable contact point for any information required by the client, including the expertise of tools and knowledge of various stakeholders to gather necessary assets or information.
  • Proactively manage strategic priorities, raise risks and offer productive solutions.
  • Motivate and course-correct work and teams as needed.
  • Identify key information to be unleveled to Thesis leadership as needed.
  • Build relationships and trust with clients.
  • Utilize your ability to collaborate with teams outside of the studio you support. 
  • Ensure the process is followed by all stakeholders throughout the project lifetime.
  • Regularly provide process and operational recommendations.
  • Closely monitor complex campaigns and work-streams with large budgets, external agency relationships, and critical business objectives. 
  • Sit in an office alongside your clients and peers - attending meetings, huddles, and collaborative work sessions. 
  • Support in seasonal and daily project resourcing of people and external/agency partners. 
  • Provide estimations of workload with the ability to shift project priorities in response to business needs. 
  • Forecast future project and team needs in partnership with with the studio management team. 
  • Contribute to and establish best production processes. 


As for experience, you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Advertising/Marketing, Communications, Design or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a large/enterprise corporate setting, preferably digital or creative/design agency. 
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in fields directly related to creative work stream management (projects within creative concepts, design, writing, retail, event, digital, social, media, broadcast and communications).
  • 3 - 5 years experience of managing people
  • Experience working with project management software tools, preferably Asana, Basecamp, Airtable preferred.
  • Expertise in the real-world demands of delivering best-in-class creative in service to brand marketing
  • Proficiency in digital and creative operations and is fluent in design-speak.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of various scopes with differing and converging timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills that provide clear direction and enable collaboration between internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand challenges and/or underlying concerns.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse, perpetually changing environment, while maintaining a calm and positive spirit.
  • Willingness to manage and collaborate with remote workers and/or third-party creative agencies.
  • Strong understanding of digital, commerce, and internet concepts, including latest online community trends, user experience best practices, and technology jargon.
  • Experience building relationships, confidently interacting with all levels of leadership and understanding and valuing cultural differences.
