The Job

The Senior Strategist will play a key role leading the creation of digital experiences and campaigns. You excel at extracting insights from data and building thoughtful frameworks that ground creative work in what is. UX is your passion. You balance user and client needs to craft experiences that deepen brand-to-consumer connections. Whether working across dotcom, app, or social, you simplify the complex to guide clients and teams to inspiring and authentic solutions. 

The Senior Strategist is an expert in leveraging consumer insights and UX best practices to create data-driven narratives that drive actionable recommendations and results for our client partners.

You should care intensely about your work without conflating work ego with personal ego. While you'll be working closely with clients, our agency's integrated teams collaborate equally and share accountability in success and failure alike.

As a person, you are

Someone who's been in the field for a bit, you know more than just the ropes. You are an expert in research, data analysis, and strategy design, and possess killer instinct and team leadership skills. You communicate clearly and know how to inspire. Along with your experience, you bring talent, technique, and an unflinching pursuit of excellence. 

 As a worker, you will

  • Lead strategy for dotcom experiences and social campaigns.
  • Define what user experiences should be through the creation of thoughtfully-considered user journeys, content maps, sitemaps, and personas.
  • Develop brand positioning, campaign frameworks, and channel strategies. 
  • Conduct research and competitive/industry analysis that dimensionalizes your approach.
  • Create and deliver compelling briefs and presentations that inspire teammates and clients 
  • Work within a team environment but be comfortable leading work independently
  • Informally mentor teammates and shape up new ways of thinking within the agency

As for experience, you need

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, communications, anthropology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Extensive background in strategic planning and implementation of insights-driven campaign and digital marketing tactics, including development of KPIs, messaging testing strategies for continued optimization of email, .com, in-app, and other digital channels.
  • Extensive experience in digital marketing and integrating digital, traditional, and OOH channels into executable and measurable strategies.
  • Ability to identify key research sources, proactively analyze and communicate key findings.
  • Solid experience writing actionable creative briefs and brand plans for campaigns that are highly conceptual, highly tactical, or at times a combination of both.

But even better, you have

  • High knowledge in digital channel best practices: dotcom (UX, Information Architecture), social, email, and paid media. 
  • Know how to orchestrate omni channel campaigns that deliver ideal customer experiences.
  • Ability to contribute to work at each of its stages and ensure business and creative goals align. 
  • Familiarity with the digital build process, its supporting documentation, and deliverables. 
  • Strong written and verbal skills. 
  • Experience pitching work and leading internal teams to solutions.
  • Well versed in writing inspiring creative briefs and strategy presentations for conceptual and tactical campaigns.
  • Experience working with various analytics platforms and partnering with software engineers, data analysts, copywriters, and designers on complex projects. 
  • Have working knowledge of research methodologies and processes that unearth relevant insights within tight turnaround times.
  • Understanding and belief in the value of a diverse workforce.
